In 1975, due to the increasing demand of locations on the part of the American film and television companies the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) was founded, of which the headquarters was placed in Los Angeles, with the aim of sharing information on and experience in how to deal appropriately with the promotion of their territories as shooting sets.

Ever since, its influence has spread all over the world with over 300 Film Commissions in 24 countries .
Andalucía Film Commission joined the AFCI in May 1999 as a member, went by a standardization process and had to follow the international mainline ideas conceived by the association.
Stage at a foreign Film Commission: the Andalucía Film commission director and coordinator were established as Film Commissioners in the Andalusian network after training at Comisión nacional de Filmaciones in Mexico in July 1999.
They also participated in the seminar "Film Commissions Fundamentals", which took place in London in June 1999. |
